White & Neutral Rugs
Some Moroccan tribes prefer to use natural undyed wool in their weavings. The Beni Ouarain tribe, for example, are renowned for weaving minimalist white rugs from undyed wool with distinctive and often abstract lozenge patterns in natural dark brown or black wool. Other tribes also use undyed natural wool as a background for their own simple or more elaborate designs, in particular rugs from the Azilal region of Morocco. Our range features neutral coloured rugs from several tribal regions.
Rugs such as these are very in vogue at the moment in many European homes, especially in those that desire a little ethnic tribal chic without the abundance of strong tribal colour.
